How the data and editorial content are produced
⢠Race results, qualifying and lap times come from the open Jolpica F1 API (formerly Ergast), which is built on FIA-published official classifications. ⢠2024-onward telemetry, lap-by-lap and circuit map data come from the official F1 timing services where available. ⢠Historical statistics are aggregated from Jolpica with our own normalisation layer (consistent driver references across name changes, team rebrands, etc.).
⢠Race weekends ā provisional classification published within 30 minutes of the chequered flag; finalised after stewards' decisions. ⢠Standings ā refreshed daily during the season. ⢠Records and leaderboards ā re-computed after every race. ⢠Historical data ā updated whenever corrections or completions land in the upstream dataset.
⢠Every claim of "first / last / record" is computed directly from raw race-result data, not curated lists. The supporting numbers can be reproduced from the same source. ⢠Where editorial paragraphs interpret the numbers (race recaps, opinion pieces), the underlying classification table is always shown alongside so readers can verify. ⢠Corrections are made promptly when errors are flagged.
